Off to Chino and Pomona California
2/4/08 - Yes, Coralee drove to Chino. After all she is a certified RV driver now!
This is how it looked as I pulled out of our spot
Chino brought more green to the scenery that we experienced in the Palm Springs area. An elephant greeted us on the way in. Lance says I am doing well driving -- although we both got a little nervous when we passed an area of roadwork that had barriers so close to the edge of the road.
2/6/08 - We took an overnight trip back to Palm Springs because Lance had arranged to shoot pictures at the The Classic Club. This was a great honor since it hosts the Bob Hope Classic every year. With the many high end courses Lance was able to get in the Palm Springs area we are able to get many more courses these days.
A little bird welcomed us at the Comfort Inn where we stayed.
The bad news was after we had checked into the hotel, Lance discovered he had forgotten his camera. He had to go back an hour and a half and back to pick it up. Me --- I just swam in the pool and lounged. (It is even more beautiful at night with lights.)
The Classic Club had some wonderful flowers.

A different type of palm and some type of "fruit" shaped like a mango.
Yes, it is only February and the trees are already starting to bloom!
This is not even a tree -- it is a cell tower.
Some of the sand work done along the highways is absolutely beautiful.
The Paint Department2/4/08 - 2/14/08
We stayed at The Paint Department for ten days. They put us up in their parking lot with 50 amp service and water. The view was not that great but the work they did on the motorhome made it feel like it was brand new.
San Diego
2/14/08 - We drove to San Diego after getting a late start so we had a beautiful sunset to greet us along the Pacific Ocean.
Now, I know we have to share our environment with the animals and other creatures -- but rattlesnakes -- ugh -- well that is just fine with me as long as I do not see any. This sign greeted us by our RV site.
San Diego is a beautiful city on the Pacific Coast and not far from the Mexican border. The first thing I noticed about it was the highways everywhere. Most amazing network of highways I had every seen.
The first thing I noticed was these beautifulpuffy trees. It reminded me of something youwould see in Africa.
San Diego Padra's Qualcomm stadium was just up the road from our RV park.
The flower on the left was most amazing -- It was like a black bird of paradise.
This unusal tree was found just outside the gate of the San Diego Naval Station. I could not tell if it was a different species or just some abnormal growth.
A friend of mine has a cat named Bonita. When we went through a town called Bonita I had to capture Bonita for Bonita.
