The 750-foot-tall Tower of the Americas is the first Landmark that confirms you are in San Antonio Texas. I hope we can make time to see the reported breathtaking view of the Alamo City. It is like Seattle's Space Needle since it also has a revolving restaurant.

This is also not a famous landmark. But we discovered that for $4.00 you can get on a street car and tour the city -- they have four routes and you can get off and on anytime you want. The wall to someone's back yard was very unusual.
Ta Da -- The Alamo -- it really surprised me to discover the Alamo was in Downtown San Antonio. Somehow I imagined it was out in the woods somewhere.
It was surrounded by a fence and was quite beautifully landscaped.
It had some REALLY old stuff and buildings -- not surprising, huh!
