Lance talked to a lady at the laundromat who showed him pictures of their flattened mobile home. They hid behind a huge tank while the tornado passed. There wasn't even time to jump in the car. She said two children are missing in her area. OMG!!!!
These pictures were taken just across I-95 from us. This is a snapped power line.
A fence in shambles.
A carport and gazebo gone.
Uprooted trees.
Power lines for miles down.
The KOA near us is still closed. The tornado ravaged the park and many RVs.
Roof crumpled.
Scary. In the early 80's we visited my Aunt in Indiana 2 days after a major tornado ripped through her town. The devastation was unreal. Glad you are safe. Makes me think I need to quit bitching about 40 degree weather in April:)
ReplyDeleteMeant to say early 70's, not 80's!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the call on Saturday to let us know you were safe. You were on minds as we heard about the storms in your area. That's one thing about Washington - the weather is more predictable. See you soon.
